Mrs. Trace Cimins,TK
My name is Trace Cimins. I have been a teacher here at Hancock for over 25 years! I used to teach 4th grade and now I teach kindergarten. I have taught kinder for over 15 years now, and I still love it! I was born in San Diego and have lived here for most of my life. My dad was in the Navy, so we did move around a little. We had a short stint in Pensacola, FL and then a few months in Bremerton, WA. We were back in San Diego by the 6th grade. I attended Miller, Farb and then graduated from Serra High School, now Canyon Hills. When I became a teacher I knew I wanted to serve this community. I have been lucky to spend over 25 years serving the children of military families and I love it. Thank you for all you do!

Mrs. Anne Gonzalez,TK
My name is Anne Gonzalez, and I came to Hancock in 2014. I have been a TK/K teacher since 2010, and have been teaching with the SDUSD for several years prior to that.
I grew up here in Tierrasanta, and love the school and the neighborhood! I graduated from Serra High (now Canyon Hills) in 1996, and have had many friends in the Murphy Canyon housing area since the 80s. My parents still live in the Tierrasanta community as do many of my friends, so this neighborhood holds a very special place in my heart.
I love going camping or doing activities outdoors, but also enjoy hanging out at home with my family and my pets. I love music, painting, and cooking. My absolute favorite subjects to teach are Science and Art!

Hello Hancock Families! My name is Lisa Hess and I have been teaching at Hancock Elementary for 4 years but at various schools around San Diego for a total of 14 years. Hancock is one of the best schools I have worked at. I love the hard-working, dedicated staff; the eager, bright-eyed students; and the patriotic, supportive families. When I am not teaching, you could find me with my three boys and husband around Tierrasanta. My husband teaches at Farb Middle School and we live in Tierrasanta, so needless to say, we are a Tierrasanta Family! Hope to see you around the neighborhood sometime!

Mrs. Annie Nguyen, TK
Hello my name is Annie Nguyen. I have been teaching for 16 years and all of those years have been here at Hancock Elementary and in Kindergarten! I feel so privilege to be working with these students each day. I love to see the growth they make in such a short amount of time. I think of my little kindergartners as sponges, they soak up all information and use it to help them grow.
I am also a mommy to 2 wonderful children, Aaron and Alina. Aaron is now middle school and Alina is a soon to be 4th grader. We are family of four and love to explore San Diego. I am not a native here, but came to attend SDSU and never left! I love being outdoors and reading. My passion is my kids, the ones at home and in the classroom. I do my best each day to help them learn and grow!
