Meet Our UTK Teachers
Mrs. Jaime Flores, UTK
My name is Jaime Flores, and I love being a part of Hancock Elementary. I started at Hancock is 2019 as a student teacher, and have been lucky enough to stay at this amazing school since then!
Before teaching at Hancock, I taught preschool for 6 years. I majored in Child and Family Development at San Diego State, and earned my Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Literacy and Language Arts.
Outside of school, I live with my husband, our son Diego, and our sweet dachshund, Coco. I love watching Padre and San Diego FC games, coloring & crafting, eating yummy food, and exploring beautiful sunny San Diego.

Mrs. Jennifer Nannini, UTK
Hello Eagles! I’m
Jennifer Nannini! I was born in Fresno, CA, and grew up playing water polo all
through high school — eventually taking my love for the sport to UCSB. Go
Gauchos! After college, I moved to San Diego for the sunshine, beaches, and (of
course) the amazing Mexican food. I earned my teaching credential from SDSU in
2010.
I love teaching TK, and it’s truly where my heart is. I’ve been a
part of the Hancock family for ten years now, and I absolutely love this
school and the incredible community around it! I was beyond honored
to be named the San Diego Unified
Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2024 — a celebration of the work
I’m so passionate about every day!
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me spending time with
my husband, our two sweet daughters, Elle and Ava, and our big, lovable German
Shepherds, Max and Bevo!

Mrs. Annie Nguyen, UTK
Hello my name is Annie Nguyen. I have been teaching for 16 years and all of those years have been here at Hancock Elementary and in Kindergarten! I feel so privilege to be working with these students each day. I love to see the growth they make in such a short amount of time. I think of my little kindergartners as sponges, they soak up all information and use it to help them grow.
I am also a mommy to 2 wonderful children, Aaron and Alina. Aaron is now middle school and Alina is a soon to be 4th grader. We are family of four and love to explore San Diego. I am not a native here, but came to attend SDSU and never left! I love being outdoors and reading. My passion is my kids, the ones at home and in the classroom. I do my best each day to help them learn and grow!
