Ms. Whitney Clonts
Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Clonts I LOVE being a teacher! This is my first year in 1st grade, my second year as a full-time teacher here at Hancock, and my fourth year at Hancock overall. I was privileged to have student taught here 3 years ago under the expert guidance of my fellow 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Conner; then, the next year I was a long-term maternity leave sub. I am so grateful and lucky to be part of such an awesome school and community! Before getting my credential, I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from SDSU. After that, I spent 5 years working on the Viejas reservation tutoring Native American students of all ages and teaching a math skill-building course. I am a San Diego County native who grew up in nearby Santee. When I’m not doing my favorite thing in the world which is teaching, you can find me spending time with friends and family exploring the San Diego food scene, going to the movies and live music shows, and going on adventures with my crazy Toy Fox Terrier, Bandit.

Mrs. Patricia Connor
Hi! My name is Patty Conner. I have been a teacher for 18 years. All of them here at Hancock and 17 of them in first grade. I love the energy and enthusiasm that first graders have when it comes to their learning. I am a San Diego native. Leaving only to attend Sonoma State in Northern California. I then returned to get my teaching credential at SDSU. I have two brothers that served in the Navy. I have seen how their deployments affected their families. I try to bring this knowledge and understanding to my classroom. When I am not teaching I am having fun with my family. I have been married for 18 years and have 2 boys. Aidan (13) and Bryce (9). I love being a part of the Hancock family and can't imagine teaching anywhere else.
