Camp Invention Summer Camp at Hancock

Hancock has exciting news! We will be hosting Camp Invention, a STEM summer camp sponsored by the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Camp will be one week, 8:00am - 2:00pm July 22 - 26.  We will be offering a limited enrollment for FREE, thanks to a program grant for military affiliated families. If you would like to apply for this scholarship, Enter the lottery here before May 22nd. If your child/children are granted the scholarship, you must commit to attendance the entire week.   Please direct any question to Dawn in the Front office or Mr. Churchill. Free spots in the camp will be announced by May 24th with registration information provided at that time.

Patience at Drop Off/Pick Up

At this time of year we are transitioning our fourth grade Safety Patrol trainees into full time status out on the streets for drop off and pick up.  They are nervous and are not used to being out there without their fifth grade mentors.  Please be kind and patient with them as they are someone’s child that attends our school.  Please treat them as you would want your child to be treated.  Please give yourself extra time to arrive at school.  Cursing, revving your car, and yelling at a student for doing their job is unacceptable and will be reported to the San Diego Police Department who train our Safety Patrol.  No student deserves that. It will not be tolerated.

Are You Returning to Hancock Next Year?

Whether you are continuing at Hancock next year or moving, please take a moment to complete this quick survey to let us know what your family’s plans are.  You will answer the survey for your oldest student at Hancock currently in grades UTK-4. Returning Next Year SurveyIn addition, if you will not be returning to Hancock next school year, you must come into the office to sign exit paperwork. Please visit during school hours to finalize your transfer.
